We were appointed for the full scope of project management services to manage the trendy cafe design and build project for Blue Bottle Second Branch in Hong Kong, a prestigious cafe located on the third floor at IFC. We managed the project from design to construction management to tendering to oversee the construction and handover keys to the client. The Blue Bottle team, located in the United States, entrusted us as their local eyes and ears in Hong Kong. In coordination with local contractors the detailed design included a food preparation area and outside seating. Every single piece of timber was scrutinized and carefully selected by us to adhere to the Blue Bottle particular requirements resulting in delivery of a very high quality project reflecting the brand’s essence.
Project Interesting Facts:
- A common occurrence with timber is the appearance of knots from heavy grain. With Blue Bottle, only the highest quality authentic hardwood with fine grains would pass the selection process. This quality standard required a thorough and meticulous evaluation of every single piece of timber to ensure it passed our inspection with 100% satisfaction.
- As project leads, our oversight of the furniture artisans paved the way for the creation of the gorgeous handmade furniture made of imported timber from Canada, which passed our timber selection process of finding the finest grained timber to confirming the cut of each piece.
